Combination Heaters

C&R offers 2 versions of the “Combination Heater”.  Both utilize a self-contained, diesel-fired heater to handle all of your engine pre-heating requirements.  Its 12-volt design makes it entirely independent of an external power source, providing up to 2 hours of continuous operation on a full charge.  A 7-day timer can be programmed to start the unit at a desired time, providing you with a race car that is already up to temperature when you arrive at the track.

The combination heaters utilize separate oil circuits so either gearbox or engine oil can be heated to approximately 200F in minutes.  A 3-way valve allows for the option to circulate water only through the system, oil only through the system or both simultaneously.  Depending on the system, the water temp will reach 150-175F within 30 minutes with a maximum temperature of approximately 200F.

The BASIC version is the same as above without the 3-way valve system.

Specifications

  • Electrical – self contained 12v battery/110v plug to charge battery and/or operate unit (2.5 hrs. for complete charge).
  • Fuel – operates on diesel or kerosene fuel only.  Fuel consumption: 16 gal/hr. (high)/.08 gal/hr. (low). Tank capacity .3 gal.
  • Coolant – Recommended mix of water and NEO “Keep Cool” conditioner (minimizes heater corrosion).  Tank capacity 1.0 gal.
  • Combination Heater model – Oil – Separate oil circuits for engine or gearbox oil.  Tank capacity – 1 qt.
  • Fabricated check valve recommended for quick connection, fill-ups & directional flow (extra charge).
