Two-Time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champ and Indiana Resident Assumes Partnership with
Inaugural Racing Trade Show at Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (July 24, 2009) – Officials from the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) announced today that two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart has assumed a partnership role in the inaugural event Dec. 2-3 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

The two-day IMIS trade show offers individuals and companies from all facets of the racing business the chance to interact, share ideas and products, build relationships and attended seminars to improve motorsports around the world, all while showcasing Indianapolis as the capital of the worldwide motorsports industry.

“We’ve said from the beginning that the International Motorsports Industry Show is for true racers,” said Chris Paulsen, founder of IMIS. “No one defines the term ‘racer’ like Tony Stewart. Not only has he been extremely successful on the track, but he’s also been very successful off the track as a businessman in the racing industry. It’s a huge shot in the arm for IMIS to have Tony on board as a partner. He brings a lot to the table, and he and his team of people will help make IMIS a show that hardcore racers cannot afford to miss.”

Stewart owns or co-owns 14 racing-related businesses, including Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Tony Stewart Racing in USAC and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and True Speed Communication, a media relations agency specializing in motorsports. The Columbus, Ind., native also owns Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, and is a partner in Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway and Macon (Ill.) Speedway.

“Being from Indiana, I know how important it is for Indianapolis to have something like the International Motorsports Industry Show,” Stewart said. “IMIS is an event for true racers at all levels, and there’s no better place to host it than a place with a rich motorsports heritage like Indianapolis. But, in addition to its history, Indianapolis also has a tremendous amount of racing-related businesses. There are several IndyCar, USAC, Grand-Am, NHRA and World of Outlaws teams based in Indy, and more racing-related products and services than you can count. That’s why it makes sense to have IMIS in Indianapolis.”

Stewart’s USAC and World of Outlaws teams are housed in Brownsburg, Ind., just 11 miles west of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while the home offices of Tony Stewart Racing are located in the Park 100 area on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

“Obviously Stewart-Haas Racing is based in North Carolina, but a lot of the part suppliers we use for our team are based in and around Indianapolis,” said Stewart, who leads the Sprint Cup championship point standings. “We get radiators, headers, uniforms and other items from companies with strong ties to Indianapolis.

“The majority of my business interests are headquartered in Indiana or the surrounding states, so I know how important the racing industry is to the city of Indianapolis and to the state of Indiana. That’s why I’m eager to partner with IMIS to ensure a great trade show not only this year, but for years to come.”

The Indiana Motorsports Association (IMA), which works toward unifying all motorsports business-related interests within the state of Indiana and to enrich the economic impact of Indiana motorsports businesses, is serving as the host for IMIS. Tony Stewart Racing has been a member of the IMA for more than two years.

“No one has a bigger name or deeper roots in Indiana motorsports than Tony Stewart,” said Tom Weisenbach, executive director of the IMA. “Tony coming on board is not only going to do great things for IMIS, but for racing as a whole in the state of Indiana. We’re excited to have him and his great team as partners this year and for years to come.”

More than 300 booths have already been booked for IMIS, but for racing companies and people interested there is limited space still available. For details on how to be a part of the show, visit www.imis-indy.com.

Salem, IN (March 3, 2009) – Champion Racing Association Officials have announced that C & R Racing will return to support the CRA Super Series again in 2009, but they have also decided to expand their support to include the newly formed CRA Super Series South and the Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman Series for the 2009 season. C & R Racing has been a sponsor with the CRA Super Series since the 2002 racing season, this will be the eighth continuous season they have given series racers there support.

“C&R Racing is excited to be able to expand our association with CRA in 2009,” remarked Devon Zorman of C & R Racing. “Not only are we going to continue our support of the CRA Super Series and we’ve increased the Series Championship certificate to $500 this year, we’re also offering support with product certificates to the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series to nurture growth into the Super Series in the future. C&R Racing is also growing with the CRA series to include the new CRA Super Series South.”

“While C&R Racing is primarily known for our top of the line racing radiators, we can offer everything from tape & tywraps, to clutches and brakes as well as rod ends, lubricants and cleaners. Supporting our grass roots racers is the link that reminds us where we’ve come from and takes us all well into the future together.”

C & R Racing will award the seventh place finisher at each CRA Super Series event and CRA Super Series South with a $100 Product Certificate. In addition C & R Racing will award the seventh place finisher in each divisions final points with a $500 Product Certificate. C & R Racing will award the seventh place finisher at each Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman Series event with a $50 Product Certificate and will award that series 2009 Champion with a $250 Product Certificate.

“We are very happy to have C & R Racing back as a sponsor with CRA again in 2009,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Director of the CRA Super Series. “The C & R Racing name has become significant with quality racing products in Indiana and through out the country. We greatly appreciate their support of our racers and hope our racers will in return support C & R Racing!”

Established in 1988 in Indianapolis, C&R Racing is the leading manufacturer of cooling systems and components for the Motorsport industry. Chris Paulsen, former Indy Car Series chief mechanic, started the company as a custom machine shop and metal fabrication business. Since 1988, the company has grown to be the leading manufacturer of custom parts and equipment for high performance applications, complete cooling systems, chassis and drive train components, and wind tunnel models.

C&R is the largest and preferred supplier of custom all-aluminum radiators to the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Camping World Truck Series. C&R is also the preferred supplier to the Indy Car Series and various other off-road, open wheel and late model series. On January 1, 2005, C&R opened C&R Racing South. C&R Racing South, located in Mooresville, NC, manufactures and distributes drive train components (including the CR1, CR1V2, CR1V3, & CR2), Dynotech drive shafts, Ford 9” Racing Gear Sets, and current C&R products.

Bruce Ashmore, former Chief IndyCar Designer with Lola and President of Reynard North America has purchased the New Generation Silver Crown car project from Chris Paulsen’s C&R Racing, Inc. The car will be racing again in 2010 when USAC re-organize the series.

Chris Paulsen says “this is just what USAC needs right now. People like Bruce will put USAC back where it belongs, as one of the most respected sanctioning bodies in this country, and I wish him all the best with the car.”

Ashmore says “I have enjoyed working in USAC racing more than anything I have ever done in motorsport. I really want to thank Chris Paulsen for this opportunity to become a racing car constructor in my own right. I am very confident that when USAC re-launches the series, and the cars race again in 2010, the division will be very successful with their new look, bodywork, and new name.”
The USAC New Generation Silver Crown Car raced in 2006 and 2007 and was the brainchild of Bill France and NASCAR. The car is designed to race on the larger ovals to support IndyCar and NASCAR events. USAC has reinstated the traditional Silver Crown car while it develops the New Generation car for 2010 competition. The C&R car won several events against fierce competition in the two years the car raced. The C&R racing cars are owned by people of note such as AJ Foyt and Ron Hemelgarn from IndyCar fame, and Darryl Guiducci’s 6R racing, Roger Johnson, and Steve Weirich, current USAC sprint car owners.
