Indianapolis, IN - C&R is proud to announce the new BB-I Transmission Shifter. C&R Racing, Inc. purchased Performance Drivetrain (PDI) assets, now known as C&R South. The Charlotte based company, C&R South, is a leading manufacturer of drivetrain components and racing parts.

• Center Support - Stabilizes the input and counter shafts keeping them from flexing and moving out of alignment, allowing gears to mesh at optimal levels.
• Splined Connection - The splined lever allows the shift cam to connect directly to the shift lever allowing for smoother and continuous shifting. The direct connection insures optimum efficiency thereby reducing stripping and breakage. The entire transmission spins easier and requires less horsepower.
• Flexible - The innovative design allows for installation of the car's shifter on either the left or right side of the transmission.
• Safer - The option to locate the shifter on either the left or right side of the transmission allows for installation of the driver's seat further from the left door. Increasing the distance between the driver and point of impact reduces the risk of injury in a driver's side collision.
• Lighter - The streamlined construction reduces the weight of the unit by 7 pounds (as compared to similar models).
• Cleaner - O-rings located on the shift cover, midplate, bellhousing, and front bearing retainer eliminate the need for sealer. O-rings are not only better protection against potential leaks they allow for quicker and easier adjustments and cleanup.
• Longer Wear - The design of the gear's teeth and the stability of the center shaft support both reduce the wear on gears thereby extending the life of the transmission.
C&R's Indianapolis location will continue to build all cooling system components including custom-built radiators, provide machine and fabrication services, and distribute performance products.
C&R will continue to utilize Industrial Machine and Gear as the exclusive manufacturer of the drivetrain components and the BB-I. The BB-I is the newly designed, NASCAR approved, transmission. C&R South will continue to distribute transmissions, Dynotech drive shafts, and Visteon 9" Racing Gears as well as current C&R products.
