Throwback Day Team Leader Motorsports Style

Team Leader Motorsports will open throwback day with a very special tribute to one of the most beloved of all Motorsports icons, Parnelli Jones.  The #40 Team Leader/ Direct Diversified Special of the "40 for 40 Everything but the Whoosh" program for 2007 has captivated fans with the throwback look and feel of the program.  We will bring the program full circle to open Throwback Day when Parnelli Jones appears walking up pit lane in vintage apparel complete with an updated Carbon Fiber open face helmet built specially for the occasion by Impact Racing.  Jones will join Team Leader Motorsports on the yard of bricks with the stunning #40 Whoosh-mobile.  Parnelli Jones will climb into the car, the engine will fire, and he will take a 2 lap tour of the Brickyard in our new Dallara chassis in vintage livery. 

Upon completion of the tour, Parnelli will be joined by his son PJ Jones on the yard of bricks.  Photos will be taken followed by an interview of father and son.  Parnelli will then become the official starter for practice and qualifying which will officially kick off throwback day.

Chris Paulsen, President and Owner of C&R Racing is on board as Team Strategist.  C&R is the leading manufacturer of cooling systems and drivetrain components for the motorsport industry.  For all forms of racing C&R manufactures and distributes parts and equipment; including thermo protection products for high performance applications – complete cooling systems, chassis and drivetrain components, and wind tunnel models. 

Bruce Ashmore has also joined the effort on the new #40 Whoosh-Mobile Dallara chassis in vintage.  Bruce Ashmore, former Reynard North America President and LoLa IndyCar’s Chief Designer who currently continues on the Board of Directors of Auto Research Center (ARC) and a key engineer at C&R.
