NASCAR® Radiators

C&R is the primary supplier of cooling systems in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman truck series. In fact 14 out of the past 15 Cup championships have used C&R cooling systems. Every track that these cars race on requires a different type of cooling package. On Super Speedways the thickness of the radiator generally is 5 inches thick with 15 fins per inch. While an Intermediate track will only need a radiator 3.5 inches thick with 15 fins per inch. The reason that they use these set-ups is dependent on the amount air moving through and over the tubes of the radiator. Teams use the nose section of the car as an aerodynamic device by the amount of tape they use on the radiator inlet. Generally speaking more tape more down force and less drag. C&R works with each teams engineering staff to achieve the most efficient radiator for each track application. C&R uses only purpose built furnace-brazed cores along with CNC billet necks, custom fittings and any mounts required. Open, closed, pressurized systems and heat exchanger options are available. Teams have come to rely on C&R for the latest in cooling technology and unsurpassed customer service. We know how to win.
