New front Brake duct and lightweight Brake Disc
C&R have designed a new front brake duct for the short tracks where more brake application is used to reduce lap times. The amount of heat produced has required the design and manufacture these new components. These new parts have been manufactured to verbal orders placed with C&R over the past few weeks.
In an effort to save weight and reduce the nose weight and therefore help to reduce understeer on the short tracks. These new ducts have been designed to be used with a light weight 28mm thick disc. This disc is 3 lbs per front axle set lighter than the standard 30mm disc. It is suggested that teams refit the 30mm discs for the larger tracks. Here the nose weight may help slightly and this will allow teams to cost effectively balance their inventory.
The new brake disc bolts directly to the existing brake disc mounting bell and utilizes all existing disc mounting hardware.
