A late-race caution with five-laps remaining in the Camping World 500 enabled the No. 31 RCR team the chance to stay out on the track and secure the 106th win for Childress and the 18th-career Cup win for Newman.  “It was a long time coming,” said Newman who last won the Brickyard 400 in 2013.

Logano wins Vegas

The NASCAR Xfinity Series was at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the Boyd Gaming 300.  Starting off at the pole position was Kyle Busch who ended up leading only 48 laps of the race.  But A big push from Joey Logano, who started fourth gets the lead and keeps it to win the race.  Logano led 106 laps of the 200 lap race.

Back-to-Back Pole Positions

On Sunday February 19, the Monster Engery NASCAR Cup Series had qualifying for the Daytona 500.  For Chase Elliott being on the pole position for the Daytona 500 is like tradition for him as he has won back-to-back poles for the Daytona 500.  Elliott's time was 46.663 seconds (192.872 mph), which gave him the edge by 0.0002 seconds, as his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes the number two position.

This weekend began the first round of the IMSA Race Series, with the Rolex 24HR at Daytona and the BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona.
